Sit back and get ready. We finally know the Monster Hunter Wildlands release date! Capcom’s latest blockbuster is set to release in February 28, 2025.
This information comes from the Sony State of Play livestream that just concluded. Through a beautiful new trailer that combines a sneak peek at new gameplay with a narrative teaser of what we can expect next year, we currently have a pretty good idea of what’s going on with Wilds. You can watch the trailer for yourself below!
Starting with the gameplay, we were shown some new monsters that can be used for hunting, fishing, teamwork by throwing explosive barrels, and some clever environmental interactions as the game pulled a cliff down on the monsters. It all looked fantastic, continuing a trend from previous gameplay trailers.
Speaking of the cinematic side of the trailer, things get interesting. We get a glimpse of what appears to be the main villain, the White Ghost, though it’s mostly obscured by shadows. Some of the characters seem determined to defeat this particular monster, so we’re getting a glimpse of what looks like a major storyline here. Very interesting.
