Game News This Nintendo Switch exclusive looks really scary, we didn’t think Nintendo would be able to do it when we read these new details!
After a particularly exciting teaser, this exclusive Nintendo Switch game is now being revealed in more detail and will not leave you indifferent! Some scenes look really good, but are also really scary.
Emio The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club was a bit like our summer soap opera. The title comes from an old Nintendo detective adventure series his return last month via a very intriguing teaser
So it’s a bit of madness among Nintendo fans! Everyone is already imagining the first horror game 100% made by the Japanese company, despite being known in the past for its colorful and family-oriented creations. Emio will end up being a very “classic” visual novel. But that doesn’t mean that certain scenes won’t send shivers down our spines. If we tell you this, it’s because new details about the title prove it.

Not recommended for under 17s
As noted by Wario64 on X, this episode of Famicom Detective Club is not recommended for anyone under the age of 17 in North America. The ESRB, the authoritative rating body in the United States and Canada (the equivalent of PEGI here), justifies its choice by the presence of the following instances of violence: “A father beating his child, strangled characters, a human body hanging from a tie, a man cutting his face with scissors”
Not just a simple visual novel
In short, if this Famicom Detective Club is “just” a visual novel, disturbing scenes should indeed be a priority. As a reminder, the title will be released exclusively on Switch on August 29th for $49.99. We play a detective from the Utsugi Agency who is responsible for solving the death of Eisuke Sasaki.
