The game tells the intertwined stories of Naoe, a ninja assassin from Iga country, and Yasuke, a legendary historical samurai. You’ll discover their personal stories, meet historical figures, and shape the duo’s destinies as they usher in a new era for Japan.

As Naoe and Yasuke, you can master two play styles, each with progression paths, skills, weapon options, and stats. Whether they employ Naoe’s stealth skills or Yasuke’s combat skills, you’ll have a variety of options when approaching your target. In Naoe, you’ll experience infiltration mechanics that use light, noise, shadows, and ever-changing environments to avoid detection. With Yasuke, you can fight more enemies.

Assassin’s Creed: Shadows features an open world where the landscape changes with the weather and seasons. You’ll travel through castle towns, bustling ports, tranquil shrines, and pastoral landscapes.
