Game news This publisher is making their next exclusive Xbox game to everyone’s surprise!
We didn’t expect it, but Paradox Interactive, a studio used to management and tactical games, has decided to ignore Sony for its next game.
The Lamplighters League, a project full of ambitions
Even if Paradox Interactive has always favored the PC, the publisher has been offering its games on all possible platforms for some time in order to do justice to as many as possible. We are of course thinking of Cities: Skylines II, which is currently expected for PC but also for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Yes, the construction game will land on all of these machines throughout 2023. Of course, we thought that all of the publisher’s next productions would also be cross-platform, but that’s not the case.
Today, crazed schemes, The studio behind the critically acclaimed Shadowrun trilogy is working on a brand new project: The Lamplighters League. Although set in a completely different universe, The Lamplighters League swaps Shadowrun’s cyberpunk side for an atmosphere largely inspired by the 1930s, like its predecessor, The Lamplighters League is an RPG that emphasizes the tactical aspect.
Recruit a team of misfits with unforgettable abilities and personalities and hunt the outcast circle across the world in a mix of real-time infiltration, turn-based tactical combat, mystery, and heartbreaking adventure.
While it all sounds tempting, there is bad news for PlayStation players.
An exclusive game for PC and Xbox Series X|S
Unlike Cities: Skylines II, which will land on PC, but also on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, The Lamplighters League, the new game from Harebrained Schemes, will be available exclusively for the Xbox Series X|S console.
If we go to the official game page, we see that The Lamplighters League will not be released on PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4. In fact, the gaming site only mentions the PC versions of the title – it will be available through Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store – as well as the Xbox Series X|S version.
Despite this bad news putting several players behind, note that a much better one is coming to even it all out: The Lamplighters League will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. Now we just have to be patient as the Tactical doesn’t have a release date yet.
