Thought game: What would an iPhone with Android operating system look like? The app now answers this question Try Galaxy
. With the app, Samsung wants to politely lure Apple friends over to the iPhone camp.
Who is the app suitable for?
What can a Samsung Galaxy of the latest generation do that my iPhone can’t?Then you’ve come to the right place with this new app!
What advantages does the app offer? You don’t own a Galaxy S23 series cell phone, but still want to see the new features of the Galaxy smartphone for yourself?
Then pay attention: Try Galaxy
simulates functions specifically of the One UI 5.1 user interface as well as the Galaxy S23 series in general (including Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4).
What features can you expect? Among the functions that Apple friends from Samsung can take a look at are One UI 5.1-specific functions – such as: the photography features Nightography
or Photo Remaster
. Other functions include the health tracker Samsung Health
or Samsung Switch
; with the latter you transfer data from one handset to the other (note: the functions are demo versions, so to speak, and therefore only simulate the experience with a Galaxy S23 – as far as the hardware of the iPhone allows).
A quick note: If you find it difficult to keep track of the smartphone jungle, we present two versions of the Galaxy S23 series discussed in this article below.
How does the app work? After installation, the app is placed on the start screen of your iPhone – just like any other app from the App Store would do. At the beginning, the app guides you through a tutorial and familiarizes you with the most important functions.
By the way: If Samsung users try the app, a message pops up – this announces: You are already a Samsungian; you cannot use this app!
And another note for those Apple disciples who are flirting with Samsung: The app reacts much more slowly than would be the case on a real Galaxy smartphone.
And, yes, the app could even be worthwhile for those Apple fan girls and boys among you who are already looking forward to the ultimate Apple event in 2023 – because: The WWDC is in the starting blocks. Colleague Patrick Schneider reported.
Availability & key data: Try Galaxy is available for iPhone 7 and later. The app is available via the Safari browser. It was published at the end of 2022 (now also includes the new Samsung cell phones). All in all, the app supports 14 different languages. The app is accessible via trygalaxy.com. If necessary, also look in the official notice from Samsung.
If you are an iPhone user: Have you already tried out the app yourself – and were you won over by the joyful features from Samsung? Or did the short vacation in the country of Samsung scare you off – and you are now more Apple disciples than ever before? Feel free to discuss in our comments which smartphone provider convinces you personally.
