News culture This series has been forgotten by everyone: one of Game of Thrones’ most charismatic characters starred in this great SF saga
If you’ve seen Game of Thrones, you won’t forget the great performance of Lena Headey, aka Cersei Lannister: imagine that before that she was also the main actress of another series… with a cult license in cinema.
A story about scrap metal
And Lena Headey has been appearing in films and alongside international stars since the 1990s – for example in “The Brothers Grimm” with Matt Damon and Heath Ledger, “Ripley’s Game” with John Malkovitch and “300” with Gerard Butler – It’s safe to say that her role in Game of Thrones propelled her to the top.
It has to be said that the HBO series is one of the greatest successes in the history of television, namely Her interpretation of Cersei Lannister, a formidable and manipulative character, left a lasting impression on many: She has also received several awards and nominations for it, seemingly for nothing. A pretty cool epic.
And yet the British actress had already tried it years before making a name for himself on television with… Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. A series that was quickly forgotten!
Terminator completed
The mythical saga created by James Cameron had its heyday in the 80s and 90s: in the 2000s things started to go a little wrong and the brand then tried to gain a foothold on television with a series dedicated to Sarah Connor. There were two seasons from 2008 to 2009 with a total of 31 episodes… and a story that never really ended.
This therefore focused on Sarah Connor in the context of events that took place after those of Terminator 2, in an alternate reality where the story of Terminator 3 would never take place: We then followed the heroine’s escape (i.e. played directly by Lena Heady!) and his film John (played by Thomas Dekker and spoken by Donald Reignoux in French)hunted by the American authorities and new Terminators sent by Skynet. Again, always.
Despite some other big names in the credits, such as Bear McCreary for the music (also behind the OSTs of The Walking Dead, The Rings of Power or even God of War and God of War Ragnarok!), This Terminator series was half finished due to lack of sufficient audience. However, the pilot got off to a promising start with an average of 18.4 million viewers before unfortunately ending with an average of 3 million viewers in North America, the US and Canada combined.
