Bulletstorm introduces us to the Dead Echo team. One day, these brave fighters go on an escapade and land on the planet Stygia. The only survivors of the crash, Gray, the hero, and Ishi Sato, a cyborg, must adapt to this strange world. The main discovery is that of an energy lasso, a useful toy for interacting with certain parts of the decoration or for bringing objects such as enemies to you. The originality comes from this: anything you do that results in the violent death of an opponent earns you points. You grab a guy with your lasso, give him a pump to send him further away, and then shoot him until he dies? It’s the jackpot! Combining is key. The result is deliberately fun. The game offers a nice variety of situations and enemy types, with some interludes breaking up the rhythm of the game. In addition to its campaign, Bulletstorm offers two other gameplay options, including multiplayer with Anarchy mode (which draws heavy inspiration from what we experienced with Gears of War 2).
