Have you ever dealt with 3D modeling in Blender, 3ds Max, Maya and Co.? Me yes, and that’s why I was very impressed by a ten-minute video in the past few days. Because anyone who knows how complex the conception and creation of even the smallest scenes can be with the tools mentioned above will bang their ears at what is shown. But don’t worry: the little film is worth seeing anyway, even if you just want to enjoy good graphics!
100 artists create something very special
What is it exactly? I’ve had a certain YouTube channel for a long time pwnisher
This year was all about Moving Mediation
, which should already make it clear that what is now being shown does not exactly come up with much action. It does not matter anyway! What inspires me so much are the countless details, the physics effects, the quality of many assets, even small ones, and above all the inventiveness of the 100 people who were involved in the creation of this beautiful work:

How was the video made? All participants received a template from the organizer, i.e. a template that specified a basic scene and thus certain rules. As you can see in the video, the character is always in the center of the action, and the camera perspective remains largely the same. Beyond that, however, there were no limits to the creativity of the artists.
3600 people participated, the best 100 submissions were immortalized. Incidentally, Lu Junchang, who worked as a stuntman in films such as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings or Bullet Train, is responsible for the motion capturing in the video.
My personal highlights: As is well known, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (minute 0:43) can be watched in any situation, but in this case because of the wonderful lighting of the scene. The submission of Neight_Lazy (minute 1:21) blows my socks off in terms of the level of detail. The spectacle around the Groot-like tree creature at minute 1:33 is just beautiful. And that was just the first two of over ten minutes!
Inclined GameStar readers might already know: I’m enthusiastic! If you feel the same way and want to read more about my journeys into alien worlds, I recommend my hands-on tests of impressive tech demos:
Make yourself comfortable, watch the video and feel free to leave your opinion on what you saw in the comments. Which scenes did you like the most and why? I wish you a lot of fun and I’m very excited!
