Three stories that take us to a science fiction future
The plot of this narrative adventure takes place in a science fiction future, specifically in the year 2038, at a time when technology has evolved so much that humans and androids live together in the same city
However, not all see them with good eyes, because many treat them as simple slaves or inferior beings. Still, this leaves us with three completely different stories to know what this future is like from three different points of view and which, in turn, are intertwined with each other. So we can take control of these three androids:
- Connor: an android who works for the police with the mission of capturing divergents, other androids that have changed their behavior to which they were programmed.
- Kara: an android with an artificial consciousness who works as a housekeeper in a house where she is in the care of a girl, the daughter of a drunken father.
- Markus: an android who works as a caretaker and one of the participants in a rebellion of androids fighting against slavery.
Each of the chapters will be led by one of them, making it seem as if we are facing a television series due to the impressive realism that has been achieved with all the characters, with the animations of their eyes, their mouths and the expression of their bodies in general. In addition, the fact that the adventure is completely localized in Spanish, with excellent dubbing, also helps.
But if there is something that characterizes the plot, it is that, as with the other Quantic Dream games, the entire plot will vary depending on the decisions and actions that we carry out as we go, giving rise to a multitude of very varied situations that will end up triggering multiple endings. And you can be sure that almost everything you do will have a huge weight in the story.
A guaranteed replayability from the first minute
The adventure can take you approximately 12-15 hours completing it, although that does not mean that everything will end there, because the replayability offered by the game is amazing due to the fact that decisions influence the events that take place so much. For example, in the first chapter you take the role of Connor to save a girl who has been captured by an android in a skyscraper.
Based on the actions we carry out, the episode will end one way or another and will have an impact on future events. So constantly with each of the three protagonists, having to make moral decisions in countless moments with which it will be impossible not to empathize with the characters because of their way of thinking and acting.
In addition, at the end of each chapter it will be reflected on the screen a graph with the different ramifications that exist, which serves to verify the different paths that we could have taken. Of course, at no time do they explain how to get to those alternative routes, which invites you to play in another way next time to see what other results can be presented.
Regarding the mechanics, they are adapted so that anyone at the controls can play Detroit: Become Human. More than anything because most of the time you will have to press buttons in quick time eventssearch for objects on the stage, interact with what we see on the screen and of course remain very attentive to the conversations, because you never know which answers may end up influencing the plot more than others.
