News culture Three Marvel series will appear on Disney+ in October 2024. Disney is pushing the franchise hard and it’s starting to seem over the top!
After promising to slow the pace of its series, Disney is unveiling three new Marvel productions in October, including Agatha All Along
A busy schedule at Marvel
Marvel and especially Disney had promised it to calm things down regarding the release of series on their streaming platform. Until recently, each series was immediately followed by the next, without giving viewers a break. This quickly led to signs of fatigue, but above all to an unprecedented loss of quality. She-Hulk was widely mocked for its visuals and the looks of its heroine. Secret Invasion with Nick Fury had been postponed so much that no one believed in it anymore. Because of these problems, Disney decided to slow down the pace of both series and films. But despite this change in policy, you still have to stick it out this month.
Agatha and Spiderman
In fact, despite a significant slowdown in production at Disney, three Marvel series will air in October. The first, obviously highly anticipated, is Agatha: All the timewhich has been talked about for a long time. The mysterious witch featured in WandaVision still had a lot to hide, but she’ll reveal all of her secrets throughout the month of October. As a reminder, this show is about the quest of Agatha Harkness (played by Kathryn Hahn), now powerless, in search of the witches’ path to regain her supernatural powers.
She is accompanied by a group of witches and an ordinary human woman. The success of this series could influence future MCU productions. “At the moment Agatha All Along is doing quite well,” she says Rotten tomatoes : “Critics say the new Disney+ series stands out for its outstanding performancesunforgettable characters, top-notch production and costume design, and a touch of horror make it one of the best MCU TV shows of all time.”
As for the other two series, they move away from live action. Spidey and his amazing friends is an animated preschool series airing on Disney Jr. featuring a trio of Marvel heroes: Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy, who form a team to fight crime with the help of other superheroes. The third season, which started in January, will be expanded with five new episodes in October. At the same time LEGO Marvel Avengers: Demolition Missiona new animated special, follows LEGO versions of the Avengers, including Captain America, Hulk, Black Panther and Thor. The storyline will also introduce a lesser-known hero, Demolition Man (D-Man), a former wrestler with superpowers. This special will be available Disney+ from October 18th.
