Cities: Skylines 2 revealed in the trailer: The construction masterpiece continues
That’s what it’s about: Probably the most important topic of the evening is the announcement of Cities: Skylines 2. A lot was speculated in advance and in this case the assumptions have come true. Colossal Order is currently working on a successor to one of the most successful city builders of all time. In addition to the PC, the game will also be developed for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
That is known: An awful lot of details have not yet been revealed by Paradox. But the developers are very self-confident. There is talk of the most open and “endless” building game on the planet. The game does not have a release date yet, but you can find more details in our announcement message:
The Lamplighters League

Indiana Jones meets XCOM in the Lamplighters League trailer
That’s what it’s about: The studio behind Shadowrun role-playing games and turn-based strategy game Battle Tech also unveiled its new project. The Lamplighters League is about a pulp adventure set in the 1930s. You lead a group of villains and thieves who save magical objects from the hands of far worse people.
That is known: Not everything is known about The Lamplighters League. However, we know that it also relies on turn-based combat and has a strong story focus. So it could be a game that XCOM fans in particular will enjoy. Especially since the environment can be scouted out in a real-time phase before each battle. Away from the battles, we can manage a group of agents and send them on missions, there will probably also be a kind of card mechanic for skills. The Lamplighers League will be released in 2023.
Life By You

That’s what it’s about: We have the least information about one of the biggest surprises. With Life By You, Paradox actually ventures into a life simulation and thus competes with Sims 5. A project to be taken seriously, after all, Rod Humble is behind it. Humble previously held senior positions in the development of Sims 2 and Sims 3 before leaving EA in 2011. Humble has headed Paradox studio Tectonic in California since 2018.
That is known: Apart from the name, we don’t know anything about the life simulation and have to put you off until a later date. But more information should follow on March 20, 2023.

Crusader Kings 3: The new expansion shows their journeys and tournaments in the trailer
That’s what it’s about: The next big addon for Crusader Kings 3 has been revealed and it’s all about celebrations and tournaments. But the far-reaching journeys of religious pilgrims are also to be extensively revised. In the end, as always, it’s about your ruler making a name for himself.
That is known: The new addon makes large events possible. So you can hold sprawling tournaments, trips or weddings. The way to such events should now be simulated in an entertaining way. In our news you can delve even deeper into the DLC, which is scheduled for release in spring 2023.

Europa Universalis 4 relies on very large nations in the new DLC »Domination«
That’s what it’s about: This year Europa Universalis 4 will be ten years old and will also get a new DLC. Domination aims to introduce new stories about the greatest empires from the Renaissance to the Age of Revolutions.
That is known: Many great nations will receive new missions and historical details with the DLC. These empires include the Ottoman Empire, China, Japan, Russia, Europe, France and Great Britain. Prussia, Portugal and Korea should also get new missions, mechanics and some flavor as smaller empires.

That’s what it’s about: The building game Surviving the Aftermath gets a third DLC that promises a little hope for the survivors of the apocalypse. After all, Rebirth is no longer just about survival. It should now also be possible to heal the world and look to a better future.
That is known: Rebirth brings several features to Surviving the Aftermath. The most important thing here is terraforming. This makes it possible to transform the brown wasteland into a green oasis over time. However, new challenges also await, as the radioactive contamination has spawned a dangerous fungus that takes over animals and makes them more aggressive. In addition, the expansion advertises with three new buildings, three new building upgrades and a huge laboratory that we are building in several stages. The DLC will be released on March 16, 2023 and costs 15 dollars.
What else has been announced?
Alongside these big announcements, there were also some smaller reveals. They all have something to do with the Paradox publishing label.

- Knights of Pen and Paper 3: This small role-playing game based on the popular hobby had already been revealed, but Paradox has now been able to win it over as a publisher. The RPG will be released on March 7th, 2023.
