In September, the online role-playing game Throne and Liberty finally launched in the West after many difficulties. Amazon’s investment seems to have been worth it, because the developers at NCSoft have published the first figures and they look quite good.
Since its western launch on September 17, 2024, Throne and Liberty has enjoyed great popularity. The initial hype may have died down a bit, but the servers are far from empty.

According to initial figures, Amazon and NCSoft have definitely scored a hit. Accordingly, the MMORPG has had over 4.5 million players since its release. Together they have completed almost a billion quests and played over 133 million hours. But the community didn’t just target NPCs, things were also going well in PvP. In total there were over 85 million mutual eliminations.
Further details about Throne and Liberty can be found in the official graphic from the development studio below:
The big rush has of course slowed down a bit at the moment, the 336,000 simultaneous players on Steam are a thing of the past. With around 65,000 users currently on the servers, Throne and Liberty is far from dead. Especially since the developers continually promise new content, which should ensure constant user numbers.
Throne and Liberty is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In addition to typical MMORPG elements such as looting and leveling, the title particularly scores with the dynamic and constantly changing game world. The community also praises the class system, which allows you to adjust your play style at any time.
