Do you want to build a team with the best hunters in Solo Leveling Arise? Find our ranking of the game based on the most efficient characters according to type.
Solo Leveling: Like other gacha games, Arise tends to associate the rarity of hunters with their power. Keep in mind that a ranking remains subjective and opinions may vary depending on your affinity and experience with the characters. This tier list, like many others, will evolve over time as new hunters or new balancing updates are made available to the game.
However, if you are looking for the best characters to get in Solo Leveling Arise, below is the individual ranking of hunters according to their elemental type.

Fire Hunter Rankings
- S | Emma Laurent, Choi Jong In
- A | —
- B | Song Chiyul
- C | —
Explanations to the fire class list
Choi Jong In is really powerful and presents itself as an exceptional DPS. His stats are excellent and his ultimate ability will be of great use to you when closing the various portals or boss rooms you face off in: it allows you to reset both abilities after each use.
Emma Laurent is of the same caliber as Choi Jong-In: a top-tier character in the Fire category. She deals much less damage than Jong-In, but has abilities that allow her to break her opponents’ resistance. You’ll understand later, but this ability to “break” enemies is really interesting in Solo Leveling Arise.
Song Chiyul, unlike Choi Jong-In and Emma Laurent, is the weak link among the Fire-type Hunters. Although it is good for eliminating monsters, it will be very ineffective against bosses. However, it remains a good alternative for players who couldn’t get their hands on Emma Laurent or Choi Jong-In. A little advice: rely on your regional skills to survive.
Ranking of water-type hunters
- S| Seo Jiwoo
- A | Nam Chae Young
- B | Anna Ruiz
- C |. Lee Juhee, Han Sang Yi
Water Type Tier List Explanations
Seo Jiwoo is not a great hunter when it comes to DPS, but is a great support thanks to her two abilities, which can be used very regularly and break through enemy shields. Still, she remains a top-notch figure in the water category. Even if you don’t have Emma Laurent or Choi Jong-In, consider yourself lucky if you come across Seo Jiwoo.
Nam Chae Young, like Seo Jiwoo, can break through the opponent’s guards. Its rarity does not affect its combat power: it can freeze enemies, allowing you to weaken monsters and bosses without risking a devastating attack.
Anna Ruiz is the perfect example of the debuffer. She will be able to break through opponents’ guards, deal poison damage, and inflict certain debuffs. However, she remains at rank B because the damage and her support role, at least without a duplicate, are not enough to make her an indispensable character in combat.
Lee Juhee et Han Sang Yi are really not the best hunters you can get in Solo Leveling Arise. Although Juhee is useful early in the game, like Sang-Yi, she remains a very expendable supporting character.
Ranking of Wind-type hunters
- S | —
- A | Park Heejin, Hwang Dongsoo
- B | Woo Junchul
- C | Kim Sangshik, Park Beom-shik
Explanations of the wind type tier list
Park Heejin is an ideal support character to remove all penalties and improve damage. She helps the entire team, making her an excellent Vent character. But we shouldn’t count on her when it comes to the damage as this is not her area of expertise.
Hwang Dongsoo, unlike Park Heejin, is what we might call raw DPS. It is capable of breaking through shields, stunning or knocking down enemies, and dealing very satisfying damage to monsters and bosses. The icing on the cake is that it will not be necessary to equip him with defensive artifacts: in fact, he has the ability to increase his defense, making him a very solid character for all activities in the game.
Woo Junchul is a character that benefits from great mobility and great defense. However, he won’t be the best DPS of all SSR hunters. It’s mostly for survivability, but not much else.
Kim Sangshik et Park Beom Shik They don’t deserve the best sets in the game. Their skills are weak and their stats need to be checked. You might as well do without it, it’s better!
Light fighter rankings
- S | Baek Yoonho, Min Byeong-Gu
- A | —
- B | Yoo Jinho, Kim Chul
- C |. Jo Kyuhwan
Explanations of the tier list of the light types
Min Byeong Gu is the best support character you can have. He will be able to heal and strengthen his team while also inflicting penalties on opponents. There’s not much else to say other than he’s a top notch character by far.
Baek Yoonho is the longest lasting character in all of solo leveling. His entire set is based on his defense and the action of breaking and reducing that of his opponents. With proper optimization, he will be able to deal good damage and survive very easily without a support character… But to properly take advantage of this character, you need to take some time to optimize him.
Yoo Jinho is a character that is available for free. He is an all-rounder, but does not excel in any field. He will be useful if you need a light character as a boss.
Kim Chul is a good tank character who can strengthen the defense of his allies while stunning enemies. He is very useful if you don’t have any other Light-type characters.
Jo KyuhwanJust like C-rank characters, he doesn’t have much going for him: he doesn’t do good damage, doesn’t have great survivability, and his attacks have pretty catastrophic range. It’s best to leave it in the Codex as it will be a burden on your team.
Ranking of dark-type hunters
- S | Lim Tae-gyu, Lee Bora
- A | Kang Taeshik
- B| Hwang Dongsuk
- C | —
Darkness tier list explanations
Lim Tae Gyu has the ultimate ability that deals the most damage. Although he can be useful in cleaning rooms, Tae-Gyu finds his usefulness with a single target, namely the bosses. Its damage increases as it attacks, making it an excellent DPS player. For boss fights, Lim Tae-Gyu is undoubtedly the top tier.
Lee Bora is an excellent DPS character. Thanks to her summoning, she can deal more damage to enemies. Note that the more duplicates you get for Lee Bora, the more Megumi available in his skill, so the damage increases drastically with each evolution. It has a place of choice in Dark-type teams, as the latter increases the damage of the same type. It may not be top tier, but it deserves its place in the S tier.
Mr. Taeshik is a very good SR character. His specialty is bleeding and damage. If you have him on your team, don’t hesitate to use him while you wait for Lee Bora.
Hwang Dongsuk is not a catastrophic hunter, but does not present himself as the most powerful. It does good damage, can occasionally break the shield and stun enemies, but doesn’t find any real expertise. Also, don’t be unhappy having him on your team because he is much better than the majority of SRs in the game.
