Gaming News Time of redemption for Diablo 4? Blizzard says it is “open” to revamping certain aspects of its video game
After a complicated start for players, Diablo 4 continues to improve over time to prove that it lives up to the franchise from which it comes. To achieve this, the developers openly claim that they are not closed to anything and are ready to rework certain aspects to satisfy their community.
At the moment, Diablo IV has a Metacritic score of 86/100 from nearly 100 reviews. You might think that the new episode of the legendary Blizzard saga has satisfied players… but that’s not the case. Still on Metacritic, We note that the user rating is 2.3/10 with more than 9000 reviews
Available since October 17th, four months after the title’s release, Diablo IV on Steam shows a mixed overall rating from 15,000 reviews as only 69% of them are positive. While the game is expected to receive an expansion this year, Blizzard is trying to keep players happy by making massive changes to the gaming experience… and it won’t stop there.
A complete overhaul of items in Diablo IV
If you haven’t been following Diablo news closely, you may have missed some important information. Given the player feedback Blizzard has decided to completely overhaul its loot and item system. If there are a lot of modifications, keep in mind that Blizzard now wants to prioritize the quality of the restored objects, all with the aim of allowing players to build builds faster and easier.
Very good news to avoid intensive and unguaranteed farming that frustrated many users when the title was released. Very proud of this change, Blizzard has decided to set up a test server so players can try it out for themselves and collect feedback
“We are very willing to review other parts of the game”
Following these tests on the test server, The media GamesRadar+ had the opportunity to interview Tim Ismay, lead producer of Diablo VI. During this interview, the developer discussed the team’s intentions regarding the game’s future, particularly regarding reworking certain aspects of the game:
We’re definitely actively discussing, if not working on, additional systems that we’d like to add to the game in the future that we believe will make the experience even more robust, similar to what we’re working on with the Season 4 rework created the article system. We’re happy to evaluate other parts of the game in the same way.
This is how the developers of Diablo IV let it be known that they listen to the players and that“They are willing to consider a complete overhaul of certain aspects of the game to improve the game.”. Enough to mark the beginning of a real “redemption” for the Blizzard title?
