past couple incarnations Superman The Krypton movie had a slightly too serious vibe, but apparently the new movie will “have a sense of humor.”
Say you loved Henry Cavill’s Superman days, but he was a bit sullen, wasn’t he? He’s always flying around the place with a scowl on his face, constantly striking just the right poses to make him look like some kind of Jesus-like figure. Honestly, where does confidence come from? Well, it doesn’t matter what we think of him right now, because he’s no longer playing Superman and David Corenswet is – according to a recent review of his counterpart Lois Lane ) (aka Rachel Brosnahan), Coron Sweet’s Superman will have a “humor of humor.”

Brosnahan spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the new, more interesting Superman, as well as her own character Lois, whom she described as “energetic, fantastic and very smart.” Brosnahan further spoke about the film, saying she’s “really enjoying working with James Gunn so far. Everyone involved in this is a consummate Superman nerd. We all grew up watching the movies. . Some of us are reading comics. So I think it’s full of love. And I think this Superman is going to have a sense of humor.
“We’re excited to put our own spin on things and respect the material we love so much.”
Considering Gunn’s career in general, and the Guardians series in particular, it’s not surprising that his Superman would be interesting. It’s a good fit for Superman, too, as he’s meant to be an interesting character, whether it’s through his awkward charm as Clark Kent or his dry but witty quips as Superman. It’s still early days for the new DC Cinematic Universe, as filming hasn’t begun yet.
We’re still a ways away from Gunn’s Superman movie, Superman: Legacy, which is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025, so in the meantime, maybe you should play Superman 64 or another game to pass the time, I I heard that one is very beautiful.
