A little message to PlayStation Stars fans: Sony is offering you valuable bonus points, but there is a condition to benefit from them.
The loyalty program is back. After a month-long outage, PlayStation Stars is back up and running for all players. Nevertheless, during the same period, the community was deprived of several campaigns and Sony has not made any special gestures to make amends. However, the Japanese manufacturer is changing its habits a little as the release of its next PS5 exclusives approaches, allowing players to win back many points.
Two new campaigns for PlayStation Stars
Sony is more generous than usual. The manufacturer usually rewards players for their purchases after the games are released, offering them 10 points for every euro spent. To mark the occasion with its next two PS5 exclusives, the publisher has just launched a campaign that will earn more points for those who pre-order them. Those who secure the purchase of Astro Bot on the PS Store will receive an additional 150 points via PlayStation Stars, while those who are enchanted by the Concord beta will receive 100 points. A gesture rare enough to be highlighted, so you might as well take advantage of it if you are interested in either game.
This PlayStation Stars promotion is retroactive, so don’t panic if you’ve already pre-ordered one of these two games from the store: you’ll receive your points. All you have to do is browse the list of available games and then find and activate the one dedicated to Concord and Astro Bot pre-orders. The service can be tricky and buggy from time to time and points sometimes don’t appear until after you’ve launched a game on your console.
Even if Concord is far from being for everyone and is struggling to convince after the open beta phase, Astro Bot has made a strong impression since its announcement. Many players rushed to pre-order it and those who opted for the digital version are entitled to a small bonus thanks to PlayStation Stars. As a reminder, the first will be released on August 23rd, the second next month on September 6th.
