The open world shooter Ghost Recon Breakpoint has to cope with the next setback since the release. Actually, this month, the new engineering class should have been available, as well as a new immersive game mode – but neither content can make it in time.
After the fluffy start last year, Ubisoft is known to have announced a fundamental revision of Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which should culminate in the major update in February 2020, which should include the engineer and immersive mode. As a result, it had become suspicious about this update and shortly before the end of the month it is now clear why: The release is delayed until further notice.
Ubisoft has now commented on this in a blog entry, but does not initially name a new date for the two game content. Instead, reference is made to March 5, 2020, when fresh details are to follow. Until then, spring 2020 is generally considered the new release period for the comprehensive update.
"Earlier this year we announced that the new immersive game mode and engineering class would be released by the end of February. After careful consideration by our development team, we have now decided to postpone the release," the studio said. With the new mode one wants to deliver a significant update based on the player feedback and finally it turned out that "the complexity of the integration of the new mode is a real challenge". Since you want to deliver a successful gaming experience, the shift is now the logical consequence.
The new mode is implemented among other things on the basis of a survey among the players and is supposed to lead Ghost Recon Breakpoint back to the more realistic roots of the franchise. The new engineering class, along with the mode, will appear in a comprehensive update later in the spring.
