While waiting for a new Splinter Cell continues, fans of the Ubisoft stealth franchise can deal with protagonist Sam Fisher in a different way. The developers have now announced the new episode of Ghost Recon Breakpoint for the coming week – including a comeback of the cult character.
Since 2017, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has always emphasized that Splinter Cell has not been forgotten. Last year, it confirmed that it was working on "some new types of gaming experiences". While a VR game for Splinter Cell is apparently in the works, the Ubisoft boss probably also meant a crossover with Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
A corresponding DLC will be launched from March 24, 2020 with "Deep State". Michael Ironsides returns for the setting of Sam Fisher, who was announced in an accompanying new trailer for the open-world shooter. As part of Episode 2, Ghost Recon Breakpoint also gives you the new immersive game mode, which is supposed to ultimately save the previously flopped game. Maybe Sam Fisher will also help to win new players for the title.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia.
