The cult series Tomb Raider is preparing to conquer another medium. In addition to another feature film, a series is now officially in production, which is intended to delight subscribers of the Netflix streaming service.
Tomb Raider is one of the most successful and long-term video game franchises ever. The brand around protagonist Lara Croft has long since gained a foothold in the film sector. After Angelina Jolie, the archaeologist is now embodied in a reboot by Alicia Vikander; a sequel to the movie from 2018 is currently in progress.
But that’s not all: Tomb Raider is now also preparing to conquer the TV sector. The streaming giant Netflix is also increasingly relying on video game brands and has now secured the corresponding rights to produce a series. This will be an animated series that has now been officially announced.
