If you look back at 2014, you can say with a clear conscience: It was fat! Because after the launch of PS4 and Xbox One the year before, the game developers in the next gen really got going. But what also stands out about 2014: It was gloomy! Dark Souls 2, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, Mordor's Shadow, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Alien: Isolation … Only Nintendo once again provided colorful cheerfulness.
10th place: Destiny
Halo developer Bungie has worked on his major Destiny project for years. The effort paid off, because the combination of shooter and role-playing resulted in something refreshingly new. As a so-called Guardian, you will fight against alien races on different planets in a distant future. These constantly drop new weapons and pieces of equipment that improve your character. Together with the ingenious gunplay, this unfolds an enormous addiction factor, which you indulge in alone, but even better with friends in a team of three.
