Christmas, winter, snow, peaceful time, the world comes to rest – papperlapapp! At GameStar.de we’re throwing a party over the holidays that will blow the candles off your Advent wreath, because we’re choosing the 300 best PC games of all time!
Five years after our big ranking of the 250 best PC games, we thought: Hey, a lot has definitely happened since then. Lots of new games came onto the market, and perspectives, weightings, opinions also change – so let’s put our heads together and see if we can’t spice up our big ranking again.
In concrete terms, this means: We have questioned the existing pool, revised it and added various new candidates from recent years – even in the top 10 you can expect a pithy surprise (no, not Hunt: Showdown).
What exactly do you expect when?
From the December 19, 2022 we unveil our revised ranking of the top 300 PC games. Every day we choose 30 new places before we make it a little more exciting in the final sprint and share the last 10 candidates bit by bit with you. As planned, we will reach the grand finale on January 2nd, 2023. So broken down again:
- 19. December: Place 300 to 271.
- 20th of December: Place 270 to 241.
- 21st December: Place 240 to 211.
- December 22: Place 210 to 181.
- 23rd of December: Place 180 to 151.
- 24th of December: Place 150 to 121.
- 25 December: Place 120 to 91.
- December 26: Place 90 to 61.
- December 27th: Place 60 to 31.
- December 28th: Place 30 to 11.
- December 29th: Platz 10 & 9.
- 30th of December: Platz 8 & 7.
- December 31: Platz 6 & 5.
- 1st of January: Platz 4 & 3.
- January 2: Platz 2 & 1.
So if you thought the Christmas season would be peaceful: far from it. Warm your fingers to vehemently discuss our decisions in the comments, to film YouTube reactions, to break the lance for your own favorites, because one thing is clear: our ranking has the sole claim to be absolutely objective, scientifically precise , to be free from every error and correct for all time. At least until we update it again.
