Total War: Pharaoh is the next installment in the award-winning strategy series, due out in October.
A listing for the game appeared on the official website over the weekend, and many believe it will be a saga.
Set in Bronze Age collapsed Egypt, the pharaoh is dead, its people are with Canaan, and the Hittite Empire wants a new leader, and that just so happens to be you.
As the leader of these great nations, you’ll need to overcome social breakdown, face natural disasters and fight to protect your people from invaders.
Choose eight faction leaders from three hubs with unique playstyles, and you’ll have a deadly and diverse roster of units. Choose from the Egyptian hubs Ramesses, Seti, Tausret or Amenmesse; from the Canaanite hub you can choose Bay or Irsu; and the Hittite hub features Kurunta and Suppiluliuma.
In the game, you can become a fearless warlord, a diplomat, or a tenacious commander. Choose and leave your mark on history.
From the fertile banks of the Nile to the arid deserts of the Sinai Peninsula and mountainous ancient Anatolia, ancient Egypt at its height is reconstructed.
These biomes come with weather that you have to overcome with enemy troops. You and your soldiers will deal with sudden and violent thunderstorms and sandstorms that can turn the tide of battle by affecting the surrounding terrain. Fire is also an enemy, as battlefields can be engulfed in flames and spread to forests and settlements.
Pharaoh features new campaign customization to ensure no two campaigns will ever feel the same. It comes with expanded campaign options such as randomized starting locations for all factions, detailed resource settings, the ability to add natural disasters, and more.
The upcoming October Total War: Pharaoh is now available for pre-order. Order early to receive early adopter bonuses, including the ability to participate in Early Access Weekend.
