Some fans and professional filmmakers are currently working on one Short film in the universe of Cyberpunk 2077. "Phoenix Program" comes from the makers of the popular Star Wars project Darth Maul: Apprentice and is filmed with the help of well-known cosplayers like Maul_Cosplay in the role of Johnny Silverhand.
What fans should know about Phoenix Program
The first teaser trailer for the Phoenix Program you can see in the header of this article. It is currently not known when the finished fan film will appear after the filming was delayed due to the ongoing corona pandemic.
The teaser trailer even delights CD Projekt Red: On Twitter drew the developers behind Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to the short film and expressed, among other things, their enthusiasm for director Vi-Dan Tran.
How awesome is this ?!
Action movie director @ViDanTran teamed up with a group of amazing cosplayers (including our friend @maul_cosplay!) to create a Cyberpunk 2077 fan film!

No wonder: after all, Tran developed together with Shawn Bu the Star Wars short film Darth Maul: Apprentice. To date, this has received over 25 million views on YouTube and is of course particularly celebrated by the War of the Stars fans. By the way, both filmmakers come from Germany.
Who are the creators behind Phoenix Program?
Vi-Dan Tran is particularly known for his experience as a stuntman and martial arts choreographer, but also works behind the camera. He has been involved in films such as James Bond 007 – Skyfall and Hitman: Agent 47 and is a member of the Jackie Chan stunt team.
For the Cyberpunk 2077 short film Phoenix Program, he now presents famous members of the cosplay scene such as Ben Bergmann (Maul_Cosplay) as Johnny Silverhand in front of the camera. Bergmann himself, who, among other things, caused a sensation with his detailed cosplays as Witcher Geralt from Riva, is also significantly involved in the production of the fan project.
So many questions about our # Cyberpunk2077 Samurai jackets coming in. Quick overview: We made them at our workshop, it’s a shit-ton of teamwork (5 people involved) and we don’t sell them. Online Shops which use pictures of me to sell them are ripoffs. ? pic.twitter.com/URElx385w5

Cyberpunk 2077: Will a movie come (someday)?
By the way, in June 2019 CD Projekt Red commented on the possibility that one day Cyberpunk 2077 movie flickers across the big screens. At this point, developer Mike Pondsmith, however, did not let anything else pass through, except that the star power of actors such as Keanu Reeves involved "would at least have the opportunity".

Should it ever come to this, a comparable project should be a long time coming. And by then hopefully the Phoenix Program will have been released. You can find out more about the fan film for Cyberpunk 2077 on the official YouTube account of the makers T7pro.
