Trailer War Thunder recreates the Berlin military parade
On May 8, 1945 at around 11 p.m., Nazi Germany capitulated unconditionally in Berlin, after a first document signed in Reims the day before. On September 7, Allied forces marched through Berlin in a grand parade.
It is this event that War Thunder decided to reproduce yesterday in game, allowing to observe the infantry troops and the various emblematic vehicles of each army corps. The main forces engaged against Germany, namely the USSR, the United Kingdom, the United States and Free France therefore marched side by side that day. The opportunity for Marshal Georgy Zhukov, General Patton, Robertson and Koenig to parade in the defeated capital.
Anton Yudintsev, founder of Gaijin Entertainment, took the opportunity to declare: "75 years ago, the whole world came together to celebrate the victory over ultimate evil. It is important to remember this moment, because today , the world must come together to defeat a new common enemy that attacks us all ", obviously referring to the current pandemic. However, the developers added the presence of the air forces, who were not present during the real parade, in order to pay tribute to them.
