Nacon and Urban Games also want to bring Transport Fever 2 to consoles. The tycoon game was actually planned for February of this year here, but it’s just not going to happen anymore. Instead, there is now a concrete release date in March.
Transport Fever 2 Console Edition will be available in just a few weeks this March. Instead of the planned release in February, you can now mark March 9, 2023 in red on your calendar. As of this day, this special console version is said to be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-orders are now possible.
Transport Fever 2 is a tycoon game in which you have to create a transport company and develop all the infrastructure needed to grow the business. By transporting cargo and passengers you build a transport empire. In order for this formula to also work on consoles, Urban Games has made numerous adjustments.
Specifically, the developers promise improved graphics, a revised user interface and controls adapted to the controller. Officially, the features are stated as follows:
- All transport links required for the growth of a city can be built
- Advanced, interactive tools are used to develop complex transport systems
- Around 200 real and historic vehicles can be controlled, from trains to buses, trucks, airplanes and ships
- Three different landscape types on which to create your own maps
- Passengers must be transported and raw materials and consumer goods must be delivered to improve access and trade and keep the city economy thriving
The console version comes in both a base game and a deluxe edition; as a bonus, all those who decide early will receive five exclusive design variants for vehicles, regardless of the version.
The Deluxe Edition consists of the following game content:
- The standard version of the game
- 3 exclusive handcrafted maps with challenging scenarios
- 6 new and historic vehicles
- 3 new animals for the three landscape types: wolf, puma and tropical fish
- 2 new game soundtracks with the songs from the two predecessors Train Fever and Transport Fever
