Different from usual
The Samsung Galaxy S20 does not shut down properly. If you hold down the power button for a long time, you can only turn on the Bixby voice assistant. We will show you how to turn off the S20.
Samsung removed the Bixby button on the Galaxy S20. However, this does not mean that the voice assistant has ended. Instead, Samsung now uses the "Call Bixby" feature to activate the switch on the phone. At the same time, the South Korean manufacturer is also changing some key combinations. If you switch from your old Samsung phone to the S20, you must get used to it. We will show you how to turn off your Samsung phone.
New ways to turn off your phone
So far, just holding down the power button for longer is enough, and then the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S10 and Co. show a menu that you can use to restart or shut down your phone.
The Bixby voice assistant will open on the Galaxy S20. To enter the described menu, you must now use the familiar screen shot gestures. Press and hold the "Volume Down" and "Open" buttons marked in the picture.
Alternatively, you can call Bixby and issue a voice command: "Turn off the phone."
Also, you will now find a button in the notification bar to turn off your phone. Its symbol is reminiscent of the symbol for turning off the TV on the remote control.
So you turn off the Galaxy S20 as usual
If you are not used to it or are unwilling, Samsung also allows you to assign the power button in a few simple steps as usual. To do this, follow the steps shown in the gallery.
