Twitch: xQc and now Amouranth – Kick recruits streamers – for crazy sums

The streaming portals are booming right now… the young Twitch competitor Kick is recruiting well-known streamers and is digging deep into the piggy bank.

Twitch will not like this at all. Kick is throwing money around to poach well-known streamers and thereby push its own reach and relevance. Money doesn’t seem to play a role at all. The Canadian streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel was recently signed. The streamer is said to have signed a two-year deal with Kick for a whopping $100 million.

Shortly thereafter, Kick also added the commitment of Kaitlyn Siragusa aka Amouranth. It is not known how much the streamer received for the deal. But since it is one of the world’s best-known streamers with an enormous reach, immense sums of millions are likely to be involved here. Rumor has it that negotiations with other streamers are already underway.

So there is a lot of rumbling in the streaming box and that should not be the end of it for a long time, because Kick is apparently ready to put massive sums into its own portal. Kick is still relatively fresh. The portal only emerged last December after Twitch severely restricted the use of casino and gambling content in October. In contrast to Twitch, Kick is much more open to such content, but also offers the streamers significantly better conditions for monetization and more freedom – up to 95 percent against there to the streamers.

However, it is questionable where Kick’s immense funds come from. While there is no official information on the sponsors, various research apparently revealed that one of the founders of the online casino Stake.com is one of the co-founders of Kick. That sounds very plausible, since Stake.com was heavily affected by the new regulations at Twitch on the subject of casinos and gambling, the timeliness also speaks for itself.

In any case, it looks like Kick.com has finally started catching up. It will be interesting to see what will happen in the coming weeks and months. Anyway, Amouranth can probably do their next hot tub stream Scrooge McDuck style and splash in the money.
