The Epic Games Store will spoil us for the next two weeks! This week’s two free games are now available and suffice to say the store isn’t making fun of its users. It will be very strong next week too.
Two big free Epic Games Store games this week
Two new free Epic Games Store games with a significantly larger budget than usual are now available. On the one hand we have Thief, developed by Eidos-Montréal in 2014. This first-person infiltration game marked the return of a very big name in the genre. There we find Garrett, the master thief, free to explore a massive playground to steal from the rich…for the pleasure of stealing from the rich! Getting this game for free is almost… theft.
The second free Epic Games Store game of the week is none other than The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition. This is Obsidian Entertainment’s last major first-person RPG, released in 2019. If you loved Fallout New Vegas from the same studio, this title is an absolute must. With a lot of humor we can create our own character and story in a vast galaxy. Liberté is a master of the game, both in developing her character and making sometimes difficult narrative decisions. In addition to the base game, this edition also provides access to the two expansions. These two new free Epic Games Store games are available until Thursday, April 11 at 4:59 p.m.
What will be the next free game?
Since the surprise was leaked, it was still spoiled, but the identity of the next free Epic Games Store game is now official. Fans of first-person games will be thrilled again because it’s the excellent Ghostrunner! The title, developed by One More Level in 2020, puts us in the position of an agile and powerful cyberpunk ninja.
So it’s up to us to traverse levels with excellent dystopian art direction at full speed, slashing everything that passes by with a katana. Nervous gameplay, crazy synthwave music and graphics that have nothing to be ashamed of in Cyberpunk 2077, that’s all the next free Epic Games Store game will offer us. Ghostrunner will be available for free from April 11th to 18th from 5 p.m. Sure it’s been offered in the past, but it’s a godsend for those who missed it in the past.
