Valve’s Steam Deck has garnered a loyal following among the GameStar editorial team, but it’s not the only handheld system for PC gaming.

Among other things, it is about Logitech’s handheld console G Cloud, which Benedikt has already tried out (Article on MeinMMO). The G Cloud is based on Android and focuses primarily on cloud gaming, i.e. streaming games. So there is no high-end hardware in the G Cloud; if you want to run games directly on the handheld, you should look elsewhere. And the G Cloud isn’t really mobile either, even if it feels great in the hand.
Another house number is the AyaNeo Air Pro. Windows 11 runs on the crowdfunding project, which is reminiscent of the PlayStation Portable. Basically, you can start all Windows games on it – unlike the Steam Deck, whose standard operating system is based on Linux. There are still limitations with the AyaNeo Air Pro, especially in terms of performance and battery life.
Of course, we also draw comparisons to the Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch for both handhelds, which each have their own strengths. What you should buy ultimately depends on what you want to play on a handheld.
