US PlayStation Network users will face similar slowdowns as European friends.
Sony has confirmed that it will expand its measures with throttling measures to protect U.S. Internet access PlayStation Network (PSN) Download speed in the country.
The platform holder released an update of the decision to make the same decision in Europe earlier this week.
The company said it would "continue to take appropriate action to do our best to ensure the stability of the Internet."
CEO Jim Ryan added: "We thank us for helping us play a community and entertainment role during this very difficult time." As is the case in Europe, we still don't know when it will end.
