Ubisoft announces that it will no longer release updates ghost recon breakpoint.
According to the published announcement Twitterthe past four months have marked the release of the final piece of content, which includes a “Motherland Action” mode as well as additional clothing and quartz items.
The company said it will continue to maintain servers for Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Developed by Ubisoft Paris, this online tactical shooter was released in October 2019 as the narrative sequel to 2017’s Ghost Recon: Wilderness.
Set in an open-world setting called Auroa, a chain of islands in the Pacific Ocean, in which you take on the role of Lieutenant Colonel Anthony “Nomad” Perryman, who is dispatched to the island to investigate a case involving Skell Technology riot.
Upon release, Ghost Recon Breakpoint received mixed reviews, mostly due to its mechanics and mission design. The game underperformed commercially and led the developers to overhaul the game by first addressing the rough technical state with patches, and then by touching on things like the tiered loot system and survival mechanics to change the overall gameplay experience.
AI teammates were also promised matches, which finally arrived in July of the following year. This follows the release of Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s immersive mode (renamed Ghost Experience) in March, which overhauled many of the game’s mechanics.
