It is not surprising that a new Assassin's Creed is coming. That it will be announced today, but definitely: While rumors and assumptions rolled over on Reddit, Resetera and Co., Ubisoft started a livestream with the artist BossLogic at 2 p.m. today.
He creates an artwork live and thus reveals the setting for the new Assassin's Creed. Currently everything points to the suspected Viking setting and thus an Assassin's Creed: Vikings or Valhalla.

The motif of the concept art by Artist BossLogic is gradually becoming visible and should thus end but reveal the scenario of the upcoming Assassin's Creed.
Who is BossLogic? The Australian digital artist code Abdo originally comes from Syria and has almost 2 million followers on Instagram, as well as over 300,000 on Twitter. He is best known for his expressive fanarts on Marvel and DC.

We summarize here for you how the artwork develops in the course of the stream and update the article regularly. The artwork already indicates a medieval-European scenario in which the Vikings also fit well into the picture:
- 3:42 pm: On the left is a sea of ice including a ship, which fits a Scandinavian or generally Nordic scenario and could also indicate naval battles.
- On the right opposite, the artwork shows a green landscape with a medieval castle. That could speak for several locations. In addition, warriors in light medieval armor can already be seen there.
- The stature of the still blackened character in the middle of the picture looks masculine, which indicates a male hero.
- 4:51 pm: Several ships are now visible on the left, whose design clearly reminds of Vikings despite the missing red and white pattern on the sails. On the right there are now several fighters with spears and swords in an early medieval battle.
- The comparison could point to a similar scenario, as is known, for example, from the Netflix series The Last Kingdom, in which the Vikings encounter the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of the Middle Ages. It takes place at the end of the ninth century when the Vikings invaded England. Of course, that would provide enough fuel for exciting battles – so the new Assassin's Creed may also be around 800 and allow us to visit both England and Scandinavia.

The rumor mill was already bubbling in advance
Previously, insiders already suspected a reveal about Assassin's Creed: Valhalla for today. The rumors were confirmed by the well-known and generally credible industry insider Shinobi in the Resetera forum. He answered the question whether the Ubisoft event today had to do with "Assassin's Creed Vikings, the Xbox or Sony" with a simple "yes".
The well-known insider Daniel Ahmad also referred to a tweet from Ubisoft China via Twitter, who indicated an important announcement today and also advised fans outside of China to keep an eye on the publisher's social media channels.
In addition, there were rumors on Reddit. Among other things, the Czech streamer Agraleus pointed out that a big announcement will follow today around 7 p.m. as part of the Ubisoft live stream. It is quite possible that the motif of the artwork – and thus the setting – will be recognizable. It is still unclear whether Ubisoft will then release further information such as the name or gameplay details.
