Interested in aspiring pirates skull and bones Applications are now available for opportunities to participate in future testing and livestreaming phases.

Ubisoft has opened the Insider Program for Skull and Bones, which offers a sneak peek at the game while also providing real data and feedback.

This won’t be a series of demos, but a full playthrough of the current version, which sounds like you’ll need to have enough personal time to test it thoroughly.

Ubisoft specifically wants participants to be “committed to testing ongoing releases,” and the ideal candidate will have a strong interest in game development, with plenty of time allotted for testing and reporting issues, bugs, or just general feedback.

Currently, the number of participants is kept relatively small to ensure work is done carefully and set up in a way that allows the development team to fully understand the feedback received.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft told investors that development on Skull and Bones was going well and that it was “very pleased” with the game’s art direction. It has also been suggested that the game could launch anytime between April 2022 and March 2023 — that is, if it doesn’t get delayed again.

Announced at E3 2017, the multiplayer pirate game has been in development since 2013, initially as a fork of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. Instead of being released as a post-launch update, the project became its own title and was developed at Ubisoft Singapore.

The game was originally slated for a 2018 release, then pushed back to 2019, and again to Ubisoft’s 2020/2021 fiscal year. Since the announcement, aside from the delay, it has been revealed that the game has been rebooted.
