In a post published on 4Chan, an insider revealed that he was a tester of a game that Ubisoft was developing. It was called a Battle Royale Splinter Cell: Hunter. In July 2022 he would have participated in his final test of the TPS, which was to be announced in the following weeks. In Splinter Cell: Hunterthe player had the option to select a spy operator and then infiltrate a base with a teammate. According to the tester, the Washington Demilitarized Zone was the only map available at the time. The goal was to take out one of four set targets before stealing a loot cache and sneaking out. The battle royale dimension was due to 15 other pairs of players having the same objective.
As in the co-op mode of several works by splinter group, some areas could only be reached by working with two people. Gadgets such as night vision goggles or drones were also included. Another interesting mechanic, dying turned the player into a mercenary. He then became an ally of the AI and had to eliminate a spy to regain his original role. The elimination of his former teammate then turned the player into a “treacherous spy”. He was then paired with another traitor. A remake also in trouble?
