Another bad news for budding pirates, the Skull and Bones game will be in port for a while.
Clearly the game Skull and Bones is cursed. While originally scheduled for November 8, 2022, it is delaying its departure from port for several more long months. In fact, we must wait until now March 9, 2023
Why is Skull and Bones being postponed?
Ubisoft therefore clarifies that although development of the game is complete, additional time is needed to further refine and balance the experience by using player feedback from technical testing as well as the Insider program. Apparently, internal tests have been taking place over the last two weeks and not everything went as planned.
The press release states:
This is the right decision for both our players and the long-term success of the game, as March 9th, 2023 provides a fitting release window for this very unique new brand.
If you want to learn a little more about this pirate game, we recommend reading our preview. Overall, the game is playable both solo and in multiplayer, although it is precisely this last component that seems to be the most interesting. Ubisoft also insists on this in its communication.
The good news is that ALL content will be completely free after release. It avoids separating the community and having a game that can live long term.
