"Three unknown martial artists were summoned to a mysterious island to participate in the competition. The outcome of the competition will determine the fate of the world."
This is a summary of the plot of "Mortal Kombat", a 1995 movie based on the popular fighting game. Now, we put it into reality, minus a part of saving the world.
According to TMZ, UFC Chairman Dana White plans to continue to hold MMA competitions on a private island that fights "weekly".
The sports world is currently trying to figure out how to continue in the COVID-19 pandemic, where mass gatherings are impossible. For WWE wrestling, the answer is to hold the game without a crowd, or shoot the game on the bone field. For UFC, the answer is obviously Mortal Kombat.
White said the island ’s location will still be covered up, but White said that the deal to ensure "Battle Island" is about to be completed. Whether he will summon fighters from other fields remains to be seen. And there may not be any Babalities.
Combatants and medical personnel will be checked before the flight.
