An official start date has not yet been published. It was only announced that “Ultraman” should start in 2024 on the Netflix streaming service.

Ken Sato is a baseball superstar. Back in Japan, his life changes abruptly when, as the new Ultraman, he has to face off against a newborn kaiju monster. While Ken tries to be both a good teammate and a responsible protector, he also has to take care of his relationship with his estranged father.

Since “Ultraman” is an animated film, there will be no cast in the classic sense, but a cast of voices. It is not yet known which actors and actresses will lend their voices to the characters. It was only announced that the cast should consist of Japanese and Western actors and actresses.

The film is produced by the production companies Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) and Tsuburaya Productions, among others, as well as by the producers Tom Knott, Sean M. Murphy and Lisa M. Poole, on behalf of Netflix. Shannon Tindle will serve as executive director, while John Aoshima will serve as co-director. Tindle is co-authoring the screenplay with Marc Haimes.
