Update from May 28, 10:30 a.m .: Sony made a short statement about a potential PC implementation of the first three Uncharted parts. You keep all options open with the formulation – which is not a clear denial:
“We currently have no announcements beyond what was already announced in our report.”
Original message: As part of a Presentation aimed at investors Sony made it clear that in the future they would like to create additional pillars on other platforms in addition to their own PlayStation home. This not only includes cloud-related activities, but of course also the PC. And the next Sony IP will celebrate its premiere on the home computer with Uncharted 4.
The next cracker is on the way
A real highlight could await us! In addition to Horizon: Zero Dawn, which has already been implemented for PC, the popular PlayStation draft horse from Naughty Dog is also shown in the form of a logo on the presentation slide. The daring treasure hunter Nathan Drake’s last adventure so far can therefore be expected in the foreseeable future!
Implementation would be a real godsend for PC gamers. Uncharted 4 was released for the Playstation 4 back in 2016 and sparked enthusiasm among our colleagues at GamePro. In addition to the fantastic look, the action-packed game design with easy puzzles and the exciting story about a pirate’s treasure were particularly praised. When will Uncharted 4 be released for PC?
When Sony will officially reveal the open secret is still in the stars. We can possibly expect news on this at E3 – or only afterwards, if Sony would like to use the attention of the trade fair days for the upcoming PS5 hits, such as Horizon: Forbidden West, which it is about will be livestreaming tonight
Whether and with what improvements the PC version of Nathan Drake’s last adventure will come along remains to be seen. The implementation of the last former PlayStation exclusive, Horizon: Zero Dawn, offered, among other things, a higher level of detail and frame rates beyond 60 fps – provided that the hardware was powerful, as our test shows.
But why is Uncharted 4 starting, what about its predecessors? We checked with Sony whether Nathan Drake’s first three adventures will also find their way to the PC. As soon as we get a response, we will update the article accordingly.
