When new games are released, it can sometimes be worth updating the graphics card driver. After all, both AMD and Nvidia and Intel like to optimize their drivers for fresh titles, especially for larger games. However, the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account now has one Notice of the new Geforce driver sparked more anger and confusion than gratitude.
A crucial aspect: Even though the new Nvidia driver version 528.49 was only released two days before the official release of Hogwarts Legacy on February 10th, in the release notes never said a word about the new Harry Potter game.

On the other hand, only Company of Heroes 3, Hello Neighbor 2, Persih and World of Warcraft are named driver-optimized, the latter due to the addition of Nvidia Reflex for less latency. What do our own driver tests and the comments say?
We have already played Hogwarts Legacy with the new Nvidia driver. However, there is no noticeable improvement in the recurring stuttering, and we didn’t notice any other changes either.
A similar picture emerges in the comments on the tweet. Many Twitter users complain because the driver is not yet optimized for the game and does not bring any improvement. In addition, the replies often contain tweets with videos or screenshots that show graphical problems such as this one:

At the same time, however, there are also voices that report problem-free performance or slightly positive effects from the driver. Ultimately, this also confirms the previously mixed picture in terms of PC performance with regard to the driver tweet from Hogwarts Legacy.
In a current GameStar survey on the subject, 48 percent of almost 3,800 votes state that the game runs a little rough, but is not a disaster, 29 percent have no technical problems and 23 percent have major technical problems. Feel free to take part using the link below:

When are optimized drivers coming? Intel has already adapted its drivers for Hogwarts Legacy, but we’ll have to be patient with AMD and Nvidia. The Europe Nvidia PR has told us that they do not yet have any details about the release of the adapted driver, but AMD has not yet responded.
