It’s no longer a secret that the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is far from what Rockstar Games and GTA fans have been hoping for. This is due to a lot of bugs and generally sloppy performance. However, the publisher has promised and corrected the differences that the games of the compilation suffer through updates. And the latest update has just arrived on most platforms.
Rockstar just released those Update 1.03 de la GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition. Update that is for the PS5, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game are provided. In fact, as the title of this message suggests, the Switch version of the compilation is not affected this time around.
According to the detailed list published by Rockstar Games, this update 1.03 brings more than 110 fixes. These are divided into several categories. First of all, there are the general fixes that apply in the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition. Then there are the changes made specifically to one of the three titles. Next up are the changes for the Xbox One trilogy. And finally the corrections, from which the PC version of the compilation in particular benefits.
An update that casts a wide network
In general, Rockstar promises an improvement in the stability of its GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition. He also explains that he fixed a bug that resulted in rain occurring indoors during cutscenes. Spelling errors have been corrected on various panels and other textures. And if that is not the solution, the editor explains that he added the camera “cinematic“in all three games. The latter can be activated by scrolling through the different camera types.
As mentioned above, each of the three GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition titles have received specific enhancements. It can come down to solving various issues, like the appearance of weed indoors during cutscenes. Concerns about backups or crashes for one of the games. But also the elimination of problems in connection with textures, collision errors or display errors.
Note that this update 1.03 adds high altitude cloud cover specifically in GTA San Andreas. Specifically, this means that when the player is up, for example in a building, and looking down, a kind of fog covers the ground. In short, many elements have been checked by the developers.
GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition still needs work
As a reminder, the US publisher apologized for the status of the compilation earlier this month. Then he confessed that these games “were not brought onto the market in a condition that meets our quality standards“And these statements suggest that this update 1.03 is not the last:
We have a strategy that allows us to tackle technical issues and improve every game from now on. Each update will bring the games to the quality they deserve.
