With Battlerite, developer Stunlock Studios already caught the eye, but with the new game V Rising they are now even more ambitious.
Stunlock Studios have announced their next project, which will be called V Rising. This is a vampire survival game with an open game world, which is due to start in the course of the year initially as part of a beta on Steam on the PC.
In the game you wake up as a weakened vampire who, after centuries of deep sleep, now has to survive in a world full of dangers. You must of course first go hunting for fresh blood in nearby settlements in order to regain your strength and quench your thirst. Then you have to build your own castle, make friends for your clan and turn more and more people into vampires in order to let your empire grow bigger and bigger.
In addition to the build-up part, you can compete in real-time battles. In addition to this, the open world title will not only have PvE challenges but also PvP battles and elements.
The team was inspired by classic Gothic literature as well as the Castlevania implementation of Netflix. They wanted to create a world with numerous conflicts between vampires, humans and mythical beings. In addition, one would like to give the players a “complete vampire experience”; this also includes that you have to withdraw from sunlight, for example.
Registrations for the planned beta are on www.playvrising.com possible. Incidentally, there is no release date yet.
With V Rising, the Battlerite makers will bring a vampire survival game to the PC this year.
