Team Fortress 2 Been plagued by bot issues for a while now, but valve Finally committed to fixing them.
Over the past few years, the multiplayer first-person shooter Team Fortress 2 has had some serious bot issues. These issues have been intensifying in recent months, with fans even launching peaceful protests demanding that Valve do something about the issue. Now, finally, Valve is really stepping in and taking action.
“TF2 community, we hear you!” wrote the official Team Fortress 2 Twitter account. “We love this game and know you love it too. We see how serious this problem has become and are working to improve it.” This is the first time a Team Fortress 2 account has actually been released since 2020, noting How out of control things have gotten.
Of course, aside from saying it will improve things, Valve hasn’t said how it will do that, or how long it might take. It makes sense that a game as old as TF2 might not be a priority like Valve’s current project, but the game still has a fairly active community. Recent bot issues have made the game nearly unplayable.
Valve did step in to fix the bot issue when it first surfaced in 2020, but things have apparently not improved much since. In fact, Eurogamer even reported last year that the problem became so severe that players could buy “bot immunity” so they wouldn’t be targeted by the aforementioned bots.
Earlier this week, the peaceful protest was aimed at trending the #SaveTF2 hashtag as evidence that the game still has a strong player base, and apparently it worked. It’s unclear how long Valve’s fix will last, but at least something is being done.
TF2 community, we hear your voice! We love this game and know you do too. We see how big this problem is and are working to improve it.
