Valve released an updated video steam deck That comes after the company realized the initial trailer featured an icon of the Nintendo Switch emulator Yuzu.
The company released a new Steam Deck trailer earlier this week to promote the fact that you no longer have to pre-order to order it.
spotted by eagle eye Neberion (Thanks to PC Gamer), you can clearly see the emulator’s icon on the Steam platform screen in the video. Nibel’s tweet was eventually seen by Valve, and the company quickly made the video private and released a new trailer.
As PC Gamer points out, Yuzu is legitimate open source software, so it won’t get you into trouble. However, Nintendo doesn’t support emulators, and even posted a DMCA that removed a video of a Switch game running on the Steam platform.
Valve probably didn’t want to annoy Nintendo, so took the video from the public eye and posted another.
Steam Deck is now available to order without pre-order, with wait times ranging from one to two weeks.
If you’re interested in buying it, the 64GB model is $399/£349, the 256GB model is $529/£459, and the 512GB model is $649/£569.
