After two films that failed to make a real impression for all the right reasons, the iconic Spider-Man villain returns in Venom 3, which was entitled to its first trailer.
Tom Hardy therefore takes on the role of Eddie Brock, who is clearly stuck to his skin like a symbiote. Will “Venom 3”, entitled “The Last Dance”, be able to convince fans of this cult supervillain after the two previous and rather disappointing appearances? That’s what we want to see with this first trailer.
Venom 3 offers us a first (and last) dance
Unfortunately, we can’t say that Venom really broke through in the cinema like his video game counterpart did in the excellent Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, it’s not Tom Hardy’s (Mad Max) fault for trying. The talented actor’s performance as Eddie Brock and how he lends his voice to the symbiotic monster is captivating in itself. Unfortunately, the plating of the previous two films and the treatment of this iconic character from the Spider-Man universe left a lot to be desired.
Regardless, Sony Pictures is sticking around and has signed on to Venom 3: The Last Dance. Today it was presented with its first trailer to see what carnage the unlikely duo is preparing for us. Directed by Kelly Marcel, this final sequel, like the other two films, presents us with the two friends on the run while a military organization takes an interest in the homeworld of our favorite symbiote. Their misadventures will therefore have a particularly personal character for the alien being. But can Venom and his host Eddie Brock survive this last dance together? See you in the cinema on October 25th to find out.
Whatever happens to our two reluctant antiheroes, Venom 3 will be the conclusion of this story. For better or for worse? Below you can find a first preview while you wait to see the final result in cinemas as black as the Symbiote this fall. But let’s hope it raises the level compared to Sony’s recent Marvel films Morbius and Madame Web. Let’s also remember that a film about Kraven, another well-known adversary of Spider-Man, is expected on December 13. The end of the year will therefore be busy for SpiderVerse. In the real sense of the word? Time will tell.
