A video purporting to be a multiplayer project based on the Horizon franchise has surfaced online.
The leak was posted on Reddit, and it shows what is said to be a very early alpha version of the game from 2020. There are also some screenshots on Resetera. Its look reminds me of Sea of Thieves and other games with similar graphics.
While we can’t confirm footage, the idea of Horizon multiplayer isn’t out of the question, considering Guerrilla said in December that he was working on an “expanding Horizon world.” Hiring like crazy. Back in 2021, it was hiring for a multiplayer game project.
There has also been speculation on the internet that the leak could come from Project H, a game that NCSoft and Guerrilla Games are developing in the Horizon universe. However, given the various job openings posted by Guerrilla, it seems unlikely that the NCSoft project is an MMO. Before Horizon Forbidden West released last year, the developers were looking for people with MMORPG experience.
Until Guerrilla comes out and announces the game or makes some kind of statement, please consider the unverified leak for a moment. Not that we’re calling the leaker a liar or anything. We just can’t confirm. Quickly, though, check out the links on Reddit and Resetera to see if the video or screen has been pulled.
