Konami has released a video discussing the continuation of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection program, with reassuring and positive news in this regard.
Konami is currently busy with the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Between MGS 3 Remake and the Master Collection, Snake fans should have plenty to eat in the future. The Japanese studio was also interested in the famous second volume of this collection and seems to have learned from past mistakes.
Despite the prospect of replaying the first three installments of the legendary franchise led by Hideo Kojima in HD, Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 did not arrive without problems. It was launched in October 2023 and unfortunately had many bugs and missing features. Pitfalls have been fixed over time thanks to regular updates. While Konami continues to refine Volume 1, the team has shared a look at the upcoming Volume 2 in a video titled “Production Hotline.”
Work on this second installment of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection has therefore started well. Konami takes the opportunity to reassure fans by pointing out that it has learned from past mistakes and will try not to repeat them in this second installment. However, the Japanese studio states that it does not yet have a clear idea of which games it will integrate. However, logically we should also find MGS 4, Peace Walker and MGS 5 there. The integration of Acid and Babel would not be ruled out either.
However, Konami states that the aforementioned Metal Gear games do not have an HD version, as MGS 2 and 3 are present in the first volume, so there is still a lot of work left for the development of the second volume. Therefore, the studio cannot currently give a concrete release date or window for the second part of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection. In any case, let’s hope Konami keeps its word regarding the effort to give it a less incredible launch.
