In Diablo 4, a lot revolves around the grind: you farm resources, aspects, experience and rare items in order to be able to face the hardest level of difficulty, Torment IV, at some point. Diablo 4: Gameplay trailer for Season 6 introduces new mechanics, monsters and skills
Blizzard has now released a hotfix that is intended to resolve the bottleneck: Laut Blizzards Community Manager Adam Fletcher They were a bit forgettable
. Now this resource will drop much more frequently, making it much easier to craft equipment in the endgame.
With the hotfix, Forgotten Souls’ drop rate has increased massively across all Torment difficulty levels.
Dungeon bosses, whisper chests and lair bosses like Duriel and Andariel now guarantee drops, and there is also an increased number of valuable souls in the Dark Citadel raid. You will also now receive crafting materials after completing them in the Kurast Undercity, including Forgotten Souls.
Here is an overview of the old and new drop amounts by difficulty level:
- Which 1: 1 → 3
- Which 2: 1/2 → 5
- Which 3: 2 → 7
- Which 4: 3 → 10
By the way, the Forgotten Souls are not the only problem that Blizzard has on its mind: With Season 6, a new mechanic has been introduced that allows a huge mob – the so-called realm shifter – to stomp through Sanctuary. However, it does this painfully slowly, which is why the developers want to put fire under the beast’s butt soon. More about this in the article linked above.
