The Viagogo platform has been criticized many times in the past. Tickets for sports, music and other major events are sometimes sold here at amazing prices. Not because the original price of the event was high, but because tickets to the event were sold out.
As a result, an indictment took place in December 2018, and according to a press release from concert organizer FKP Skorpio has now been confirmed. The cause of the complaint was tickets to the concert of musician Ed Sheeran, which were sold at multiples of the original price. In addition, they are clearly tickets, and buyers cannot attend the concert. Tickets are personalized to the original buyer to prevent black market transactions.
Court decision is a sign of opposition to illegal trade
Concert organizer FKP Skorpio sees the sales ban as a sign against illegal sale of concert tickets. Due to the fine, lawyer Markus Reuter also doubted that Viagogo would no longer be able to ignore the court's decision in the future.
