Victoria 3 has received its biggest DLC to date. The economy has been significantly changed, as have the interactions with the vassals. You can also now form power blocks. In the video you can see how many options are available to you, including visually. As described in more detail in our DLC test, as a power block leader you also unlock strong bonuses for yourself and your members. At the moment, however, they are still so powerful that we fear for the balance. Nevertheless, the power blocks themselves are a good expansion, even if we would have preferred an overhaul of the existing diplomacy. Sphere of Influence is included in the Grand Edition and the Expansion Pack. Only those who don’t have it have to spend 30 dollars for it. Paradox is also releasing a comprehensive patch along with the DLC, in which most of the DLC features are slimmed down. A tip on the side: If you can wait, it is generally better not to play DLCs for Paradox Interactive’s big global strategy games during the release week, because bugs often crop up then, which – at least – are usually fixed quickly.
