Cyberpunk 2077 trailer shows gameplay of the PS5 and PS4 Pro version
What platform does Cyberpunk 2077 look best on? This is a question that worries many fans at the moment. Developer CD Projekt Red regularly shares game scenes that were recorded on various platforms on the official YouTube channel.
Last week we got a picture of the Xbox versions, this week it’s the turn of PlayStation 4 and 5.
You can see the video at the top of this message. We summarize the most important information and also show you an interesting comparison video that compares Cyberpunk on PS4 Pro and PC.
What does the new video show?
V als Nomad: The game scenes come from one of the possible prologues of Cyberpunk, namely the path of life »Nomad«.
If you choose this background for your character V, you come from the Badlands, the wilderness that surrounds Night City. The video shows a total of seven minutes from the Nomad intro, but there are no new scenes – the snippets were seen before.

All information about Cyberpunk 2077
PS4 Pro and PS5: First you see what Cyberpunk 2077 looks like on the PlayStation 4 Pro, then the video changes to the PlayStation 5 at 4:32 minutes. However, the game runs on the PS5 in backward compatibility mode. According to the CD Projekt, an adapted next-gen version will not follow until next year.
Comparison of PS4 Pro and PC: The YouTube Cycu1 has cut together some of the scenes with PC gameplay and shows the direct comparison. Note that this is an older PC version, so the final product may be different. Also, the PC version was streamed in 4K, while the resolution of the new PS4 footage is only 1080p.

What does the comparison show? In the video it is immediately noticeable that shadows, textures and the entire level of detail look much better on the PC, as expected. Pay particular attention to the different surfaces in the garage and the interior of the car. The image is also sharper on the PC, but this is explained by the different resolutions.
A final comparison between the various platforms is only possible once Cyberpunk has been published. You can find out whether your PC is equipped for the role-playing game here:

Discussion about NPC density
In the comments below last week’s Xbox gameplay, a debate began about Night City’s population density. Some found that too few NPCs were out on the streets, which would harm the atmosphere. Even in the PlayStation video, the streets look rather empty.
Our own impression of the PC version: GameStar editor Micha was able to play Cyberpunk 2077 himself for a full 15 hours and has drawn a very detailed – and spoiler-free – conclusion. In it he answers all the important questions, especially: How good will Cyberpunk 2077 really be?

Giant preview of Cyberpunk 2077
He didn’t get the impression that Night City looked dead. However, he also played with high-end hardware. It is obvious that with slower hardware such as the Last Gen consoles or on older PCs, only a low NPC density can be achieved, as was already the case with The Witcher 3.
There is still no option in the settings on the PC that would obviously regulate the density of NPCs. But that can change until the release. In the article »Cyberpunk 2077: All graphics options of the PC version in detail« we explain to you what settings were in our preview version and what they do.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10, 2020 for PC, Current and NextGen consoles and Google Stadia. Do you want to pre-order or are you still unsure about buying? We explain the differences between the different editions.
